A New Series of Forums Featuring Leading Design Experts

The District of Design is proud to announce it will be hosting a series of community forums on product design and innovation through Cleveland State University's Levin College Forum. The forum series will include some of the region's top experts on product design, highlighting the growing importance of design and innovation to the local and national economy. By strengthening links between the world-class Northeast Ohio design community and local consumer product companies, the series is intended to help further the District of Design's mission to establish Cleveland as the Milan of the Midwest.

Forum speakers feature some of the region's top design minds, including the Cleveland Institute of Art's Dan Cuffaro, Nottingham Sperk's John Nottingham and Doug Hall of Columbus' Eureka! Ranch. We expect the series will attract the local design community, economic development or business sectors.

The series will consist of four moderated discussions that will take place from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. between January and June. The first in the series will be held at 8:00 a.m. Friday February 11, 2011 at the Cleveland State University Levin College of Urban Affairs, 1717 Euclid Avenue and will feature The Cleveland Institute of Art's Dan Cuffaro and Wally Berry of American DaVinci. The forum will be moderated by Rich Osborn of Great Lakes Publishing. The event is free and open to the public.
